Some groomers use grooming nooses. If and when the dog is particularly wiggly, restraints may be used both around the neck and the hindquarters.

Growing rates of dog ownership in recent years, among other factors, seem to have translated into steady demand for grooming services. Salon owners are struggling to satisfy those needs, with some groomers booking up to 12 weeks in advance.
